Sun Salutation Series – Introduction

October 16, 2013September 7, 2021 ~ rachelgbk ~ Leave a comment

Artwork by Abby Bunnell If you’ve ever been to a yoga class, you have done at least one posture in a sequence of movements called a sun salutation. Chances are you’ve done all of the postures in the sequence and have probably done one or more variations of the sequence as part of your practice. … Continue reading Sun Salutation Series – Introduction

How to Overcome the Agony of the Plank

September 12, 2013September 7, 2021 ~ rachelgbk ~ Leave a comment

I can’t do that. At all. But maybe one day I will be able to… In order to train for it I have to practice my planks first though, which have proven to be the part of my practice where I see the slowest progress. Front and side plans are an amazing work out. They … Continue reading How to Overcome the Agony of the Plank

Yoga: Six Months Later

May 26, 2013September 7, 2021 ~ rachelgbk ~ Leave a comment

I’m proud to say that I’ve now been practicing yoga on a regular basis for just over six months. I started writing about my yoga practice this year because I noticed such a variety of benefits to the routine. I’ve greatly enjoyed using yoga as a fitness and wellness program, but also as a source … Continue reading Yoga: Six Months Later

How to practice yoga on a budget

March 21, 2013September 7, 2021 ~ rachelgbk ~ Leave a comment

Yoga’s popularity in the western world makes it a natural cash grab. As many as 15 million Americans and 1.5 million Canadians practice yoga on a regular basis. With that many people willing to spend money on the activity, we’re going to see it get more and more expensive as the years go on. It is for this reason that I … Continue reading How to practice yoga on a budget

33 weeks ✌🏻Feeling very large and very slow, but yesterday’s haircut held up nicely so there’s that. Last haircut before the babe done! 💇🏻‍♀️✅ Happy 35th Birthday Nat Nat! Here we are in 2006 at Jawny Bakers (yes). You might not remember that a bunch of us got dinner there after commencement. Actually you probably do remember because your memory is like a steel trap.🥲 Happy Love Day from me and my valentines 💕 Yesterday we had the cutest time eating delicious food and snuggling adorable animals (and humans). @whiskeyscruff and @this.is.kariss thank you for being the hosts with the mosts! 🤩 #GabrielRutherford Anyone who has spoken with me this week has heard me RAVING about starting @thebellemethod. NOTHING has cured pregnancy aches and pains like this. Not strength training, not yoga, not prenatal massages, nothing compares. The time has come 🙏🏻 2023 is the year the ‘88ers turn 35 and I solemnly swear to post an ancient and cringe photo for each friend’s 35th birthday this year. High school peeps, you have been warned.
